A new approach to film education...

A series of FREE Film Education Events starting in September 2011, open to all secondary schools and colleges in the Furness area.

Signal is partnering with Manchester's Cornerhouse to present 'Projector-in-Furness', a film education programme for schools and colleges which uses film to introduce students to the latest concepts in contemporary visual art and film, whilst also helping teachers to bring creativity and innovation to the classroom.

Events at the new Cookes Building screening room will offer a centralised film club where local schools and colleges can bring classes to watch non-mainstream films and develop their film literacy in line with the national curriculum.
