Projects & opportunities
Signal Films offers a variety of training and opportunities for filmmakers and artists.

We run a rolling programme of short courses in all aspects of filmmaking and digital and moving image art production aimed at both beginner and intermediate levels, including screenwriting; production; direction; camera lighting; sound recording mixing; editing; marketing distribution; digital photography image manipulation; graphic web design.
Due to the strong support afforded by a range of funders we are able to offer all of our opportunities at either heavily subsidized rates or for free to residents of Cumbria.
Signal Films also offers a range of innovative outreach and educational projects to encourage participants to deepen their understanding and enjoyment of film, photography and media arts. Our projects provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to gain new skills and explore their creativity by making films and artworks with the support of experienced practitioners.
